Women In Business

I want to talk with the ladies for a moment. As women in business we have an advantage over the fellas. It is not about competing or using our sexuality, it is just a fact of the industry. The Direct Selling Association (DSA) did a tally and found that about 78% of direct sellers are from women in business. With such a high percentage of women starting businesses in the industry the question is “Why are women great network marketers?” women in business

The simple answer is this industry focuses on our strengths of multitasking, nurturing relationships, communication and full-filling our desire to balance work and home life. It makes sense that direct selling is a woman dominated industry because networking comes so naturally to us. We can attain our professional goals making a full-time income while working part-time. Being able to stay at home to support our families gives us peace of mind. We are able to have the best of both worlds.

Women in business can get to the heart of an issue and figure out another persons “WHY” quickly. We are programed to be nurturing and relationship orientated. We tend to share information a lot more freely. Through open communication we can learn things from friends in a matter of minutes that men (no offense guys) wouldn’t figure out for months. We would all love to have more active people in our organizations and the bottom line is people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. women in business

We all have the same 24 hours in a day to accomplish all that we set out to accomplish. Typically men take the corporate path while women tend to focus on personal branding. Generally women function on emotions and building relationships while men function on logic and the techniques of the business. women in business

When we start our business we have the opportunity to brand ourselves as we choose. Branding can be done corporately or personally.women in business

Also, women can easily approach both sexes with a natural non-intimidating approach to communicating. Sometimes women get intimidated by men pitching them and men tend to be more open when approached by a female. When a man approaches another man there may be the tendency to challenge each other or to square up. Instead of being in the competitive mindset as women we look at motivating, encouraging and being creative with others. In life we are either going to influence or be influenced, it’s all about the approach.women in business

Our mission is to empower and educate men and women to pre-sue their unique passions and utilize their talents in this business. Men and women have have different skill sets and luckily we can work together to make a big impact. The fact is everyone wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves, they want to know a secret and they want to feel special. When we hone in on these three points we can help men and women build their dreams in this business. women in business

Now fellas since you couldn’t resist reading this forward to an influential woman in your life and ladies keep building those relationships, nurturing the team and building your legacy. women in business

Dominate Social Media

We live in the information age and things move quickly. With the evolution of social media, we have the ability to reach people like never before. The key to dominate social media is to be consistent because people do business with those they know, like and trust. We have but a split second to capture a potential customer’s attention. Here are some tips I have learned along the way to make navigating Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest a little easier. dominate social media

Each platform gives you the opportunity to share your ‘why’ in the form of a brief bio. This is your chance to connect with your audience. Be sure to include who you are, what you do and how it brings value for the other person. Keep your bio short and to the point. Your bio should include a link back to your personal website for more info. Make sure your website lists all of your social media handles so people can easily find you. dominate social media

Social media outlets are the most influential platforms of the century. Having a profile is not enough. Building rapport with other organizations and honing strategic partnerships can explode your business. dominate social media

Dominate Social Media

Target your market. It is important to know your ideal customer and trust me its not everyone. Are you looking to capture organizations, a particular age demographic or a niche market? Targeting your market does not mean excluding people that do not fit your criteria from buying from you. It is a guide to allow you to focus on the people that are mostly likely to buy your product and share it with others, building your customer base. dominate social media

Social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest have changed the game for search engines. They have introduced additional social search signals that can be used for ranking content to your target audience. Social search refers to search engines using signals such as the number of social media shares of a link to determine how that link ranks for a given keyword.

There demographic of Facebook‘s 1.28 billion monthly users is vast. If you want to reach 15-34 year olds they are most active on Facebook from 9-10pm so post during those times. Keep posts short, 27% more sharing happens when a post is three lines or less. We want people to repost our info to friends so keep on point. One liners typically get the best response rates. People want to be engaged so ask questions that create conversation. If you post outside normal business hours which are considered from 9-4 there is a 20% increase in engagement. Fridays are the highest traffic days on Facebook, so it’s a great day to post. Comment on other pages where your target audience is already having conversations, lay the ground work and build rapport. If you host live events, post lots of photos and encourage your friends/followers to tag themselves. When they tag themselves, they will voluntarily be sharing your content with their friends causing a ripple affect. A great way to increase traffic to your page is by offering a special or exclusive offer; the sky is the limit on this. Ads are becoming more widely used on this platform. Slowly, Facebook will increase advertising including: full-motion video ads and image ads on its Instagram photo-sharing service. dominate social media

Twitter is great as you get up to the minute info; it could be called the ‘real time social networking’ site. A key to Twitter is to tweet in intervals. All tweets have to to be 140 charters or less. Engaging others through replying to their tweets builds your community. While it is great to follow lots of people and hone valuable information on Twitter, you must also grow your own base of followers. This is known as your Twitter reach. To make your tweets as visible as possible, avoid putting @USERNAME in the very beginning of your tweets. Adding the @USERNAME to the very beginning will make your tweet viewable only in the Twitter streams of people who follow you and the user to whom you’re tweeting. Hashtags are widely used on Twitter as well. A ‘#tag’ makes searching key words easy. You can dominate a hashtag so that when people search a key word your brand is the first to be featured. Selecting a hashtag for your own event will be beneficial in a couple of ways: During the event, people often use the hashtag while live-tweeting, i.e. tweeting what they see/hear in real-time. The hashtag will tag and aggregate the event’s tweets, building an online conversation around the event. Make your tweets useful resources so people need you. You are what you tweet. People will want to follow you if they think they will get value from your tweets. Avoid making your Twitter account a purely promotional tool. The goal is to get people to your personal page and viewing your products. Make a decision on how much time you want to devote to this platform as it can be a time-sucking activity.

Twitter is redesigning its profile and soon it will look like a merger of Facebook and Pinterest. Twitter has announced it will be gradually making changes to the timeline, mobile updates and they will have bigger photos. There are also rumors of the imminent death of @-replies and hashtags. Users will be able to pin or highlight key pieces of information to the profile of your newsfeed. We will now be able to add multiple photos to the platform and tag up to 10 people in these photos.

I didn’t know this until recently: Pinterest is the 4th largest traffic driver worldwide. People spend more money on Pinterst then any of the other social media sites. On average people will spend $68 on Twitter, $80 on Facebook and $179 on Pinterest. People use Pinterest to shop and buy online. The difference is that 70% of people on this platform are looking for brands and products. Many think it’s about moms (the average Pinterest user is 35-50) at home finding projects to do, but having a presence on Pinterest can effectively spread the word about your business. In fact, 80% of the content on Pinterest is repinned, which means your message could go viral quickly. The key with Pinterest is to create content unique to the Pinterest platform which will increase brand visibility and get more sales. Info-graphics, checklists, tutorials, teaser text-which drives traffic back to your site and videos are the most shared on Pinterest. Early morning or late at night is the best time to post to your page. The most people are on Pinterest Saturday mornings. dominate social media

I understand this can be a lot to digest and you may be thinking, who has time for all this? If you are doing all of these, an easy way to manage all of your sites in one place is through HooteSuite. They offer a free program to maximize your presence on social media and cut the time you spend daily on each site. It is better to do one thing really well then to do three things in a mediocre fashion. If taking on multiple social media sites feels daunting, start with one and master it; you can always expand your reach. You can see now how important it is to know your customer, what they need and where you can find them to connect. Now let’s share something we learned here with a friend on one of these social media platforms! dominate social media

Addicted to soda

We have all heard how bad soda pop is for us. In particular diet soda is horrible due to the fake sweeteners like aspartame used to sweeten the drink. If you have not received the memo consider this that memo. When you take caffeine out of your daily routine for a couple of weeks your energy level will become more consistent, and you tend to sleep better. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial trucks must display a hazardous material sign reserved for highly corrosive materials. This does not even touch on the amount of sugar in a 12 oz can of coke which is about 16 cubes of sugar per can!

A great alternative is to try carbonated water with a spritz of lemon (which will help on the journey to an alkaline state). Another great beverage is coconut water. A serving of coconut water has more potassium then two banana’s, is full of electrolytes which will help your muscles recover after work outs and it hydrates you faster then water.

Implementation:
If your currently drinking soda pop ween off of it.

Affirmation: My mind is powerful. It is an amazing tool that I can use to better my body, my spirit, and my life. Each day, I use this powerful tool wisely.

Cleaning with Coke:
• In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
• The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of the trucks for about 20 years!
• You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
• To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the ‘real thing’ sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
• To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca- Cola.
• To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion. Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
• To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

Create The Life Of Your Dreams with Dream Boards

Coming into the new year, we will set intentions for what the coming year will hold for us. Unfortunately, many will fall short of their New Year’s goals and blame it on circumstances. Let’s be real, it’s not our circumstances as much as it is our inability to give ourselves a command and follow through to its completion. We humans function on the principle of the avoidance of pain or the acquisition of pleasure. Our actions are a result of our seeking to avoid pain or feel pleasure. We fall short of our goals by choice.

When we feel like giving up on that New Year’s resolution, remember we can literally do anything we put our minds to. There is a reason you made that New Year’s resolution to get organized, lose weight, quit smoking or whatever you happen to commit to make happen in 2014. In the case of weight loss, looking in the mirror and feeling fat or trying to ignore health issues is an avoidance of pain mechanism. Pleasure will come from looking and feeling better while fitting in the skinny jeans you’ve been holding on to. Our thoughts about our body and the food we consume plays a role in the manner in which we carry ourselves. Eating should be a thoroughly positive experience in which we provide fuel to our bodies in the form of nutrition. Whatever you eat, expect it to nourish your body and contribute to its wellbeing. Many people believe that praying over a meal can change the make up of the food on our plates and how our bodies interact with the nutrition that is being taken in.

When we begin to think about something, good or bad, we begin to attract it into our lives. There is an invisible energy force of infinite possibility that works on our behalf. The measure in which we impact that field of energy surrounding us has a direct correlation to our beliefs and expectations that we will attain what we focus on. Everyday we are bombarded with negativity, toxins and problems; these things are detrimental to our health. Don’t add to this with negative self talk, do not give these details the time of day. Instead, focus on the way things will be, the way you desire them to be and your environment will begin to change. I would like to suggest we be a group that looks for solutions, visualizes what our desires are, keeps a positive mental attitude and focuses on the world we will live in. When we place an intention in our life, the universe conspires to make that thought a reality because thoughts are things. We have something like 60,000 thoughts a day and most of these thoughts are the same thoughts that danced through our minds yesterday. With so many thoughts looping through our consciousness daily we can choose to flood the mind with positivity.

We have a choice to see life as a combat against problems or we can choose to see life as a means of finding solutions and attaining our goals. Our minds plant seeds to our future; we choose if these are seeds of deception creating turmoil in our life or if we choose to plant seeds of prosperity that lead to the fulfillment of our desires. We want to speak in terms that what we desire is already ours. If we say to ourselves we “want” something, we will always be in a state of want, never attaining that which is already ours. To change our environment, we must change our thinking. Think in terms of what is possible. There are so many opportunities in each moment.

We have to be willing to let go of the negative. Complaining is an easy way to bond with people because we all have things we “want” to change, however it is not productive. When we change our outlook, our attitude instantly changes and our lives change for the better. Start a gratitude journal which is one way to instantly change our mood and our outlook on life. When we journal, the goal is to be thankful for each experience and opportunity in life. No matter how horrible you believe your day may be, you always have something to be thankful for, even if it is to be grateful that tomorrow is a new day and new start.

Everyone who is serious about attracting the life of their dreams must make a dream board. A dream board is a compilation of pictures of what our life will look like; it will help us to focus, to visualize ourselves on that beach or getting that new car, whatever is important to you. We need to focus not on what we actually see, but what we intend to see. I am on my third dream board because everything on my first two has come to fruition. For instance when I made my first dream board 5 years ago, I focused on traveling around the world, the countries I would visit, things I would see. Now, 5 years later I have visited 80 countries and counting. I didn’t know how I was going to do it; I was barely able to pay my bills each month and I just applied for my passport. I looked at my dream board every morning and evening and visualized how each country would look, what I would feel like while visiting and the universe made my intention a reality.  What do you want your living space to look like? Who do you want to be surrounded by, etc. We must be specific when building the life of our dreams, be detailed when asking for what we desire, what is already ours.

So begin mapping out what your life will look like in the next year, the next five years. Collect images that represent your dreams for the future and compile these on your dream board. Meditate on your dream board multiple times each day and believe that what you desire is already yours; the universe is working to make these things happen in your life. Give it some time and faith to present itself. Do not let negativity infect your mind. When issues arise, choose to see that situation differently and your environment will change as your outlook changes. You can actually say “I choose to see things differently”. It’s time to make those dreams a reality and now is the best time to start. In the comments, let us know what is working in your life, what you expect to come from this exercise and if you have any other tips that have helped you in attaining the life you lead.

By choosing your thoughts, and by selecting which emotional currents you will release and which you will reinforce, you determine the..effects that you will have upon others, and the nature of the experiences of your life. ~Gary Zukav, Author of The Seat Of The Soul

Take Time To THINK!

Where is the love? When did we become a society that is so quick to snap at others, cut people off and be so overwhelmingly negative and rude to others? As disheartening as it is to see daily how horrible we can treat those we share this life with I do not want to dwell on that, let’s instead look at things we can do to positively impact our environment.

It really doesn’t matter how stressed, tired, hungry or whatever reason we may come up with to treat others poorly. Next time we feel agitated or are about to snap stop and THINK.

before you speak think-3

Choose to be kind in every circumstance. Next time you feel your blood pressure rising remember these helpful tips and implement one or multiple of them to see the situation differently. Practice the art of being kind and create a better community.

*Try paying it forward-Do a random act of kindness for someone else and expect nothing in return. Pay for the persons coffee behind you in the drive through for example.

*Smile-A smile can do wonders to ease a situation and brighten someone else’s day. It takes less facial muscles to smile then to walk around with a frown on your face all day.

*Meditate-Take a deep breath. Taking a few deep breaths will do wonders in relaxing the body and opening the mind to a different way of seeing things.

*Walkaway-Sometimes the best thing a person can do is to remove themselves from a situation. If you are in a heated discussion don’t turn and walk away simply say, “I need to take a few minutes to process this, I am going to go have a couple minutes to myself and then we can resume the conversation”.

*Put yourself in the other persons shoes-We have no idea what is going on in the lives of others all the time. Maybe the person you are dealing with has had a particularly rough day, that does not mean they should treat you poorly, just try to see things from their perspective and take the moral high ground, do not stoop to the level the are at. Your actions will speak volumes and influence them in ways you may never know.

*Be grateful for where you are and what you have-Give thanks each day for all that you have in your life, nothing is to small. When you focus on gratitude you will see a transformation in your outlook and those that are attracted to you.

Life is all about perspective and how we see and respond to the world around us. Life will not always be perfect and it doesn’t have to be. Life teaches us lessons and for this we can be thankful in the good times and the challenging times. How you choose to see the world and respond to it determines the quality of the life you lead and the happiness experienced daily. Now think about what you are grateful for and the next time you are met with an unpleasant situation how you will choose to react.

Manifesting Awesomeness

Insanity could be defined as doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.  We must be willing to step out of our comfort zone to acquire the results we desire.  Whether it is struggling with weight, finances or a positive mental attitude, we must be willing to improve to get what we desire.  Change is simply constant continuous improvement.

We want to focus on what we do want and release that which we do not want.  Here is the idea.  If we constantly say to ourselves “I don’t want to be overweight any more”, “I don’t ever have enough money”, or “life always gives me lemons”, then we are giving energy to the negative and actually draw it to ourselves.  Ask yourself, who put that there?  Who said so?  Is it serving me?  Instead, frame each statement with what you do want.  Take time to feel and experience what it is you are after.

What we are not aware of we cannot change.  Nothing has meaning but that meaning which we give it.  When you have a negative thought, stop, recognize the experience you’re having and acknowledge it.  Simply say “hum, that’s interesting” then release the thought.  Replace the thought with a more positive and loving affirmation.  We want to have non judgmental awareness of our thoughts.  You can change your thoughts and life at any moment you choose.

Every cell in our body has a vibrational frequency.  Starting today, we are focusing on vibrating on the frequency of love: self love and gently loving others.  We say gently loving others because when we catch ourselves judging others, we need to use the same principles we are using for ourselves.  Here is an example.  You’re with your girlfriends at a restaurant and someone comes in dressed in a manner you find interesting.  You may find yourself saying, “girl, did you see her outfit, she looks so fat in that; someone should help her”.  Wow!  Okay, maybe she just lost 100 pounds and she is feeling good, rocking that outfit with confidence.  Let’s not judge others.  When we point the finger, there are always three fingers pointing back at us.

What we non judgmentally look at disappears.  If we non judgmentally observe a behavior, we will have introduced choice into the equation.  Judgement is one of the biggest barriers to our own miraculous breakthroughs.  If we judge someone else for their divine awesomeness, then we subconsciously sabotage our own.  Don’t beat yourself up over this snap judgement, simply recognize it and move on.  By being aware of what is, without resisting, it we awaken the subconscious mind to a new pattern.  We can see more clearly and compassionately.  Soon we find our thoughts have shifted to blessing ourselves and others.  Our goal vibration must be practiced daily.  Say to yourself, “I’m doing better than I used to” or “I’ve done it before-I can do it again”.

Instead of telling yourself, “I should be eating better”, “I should be making more money”, or “I should be happier”, replace the “shoulds” with “could”.  When we catch ourselves saying “should”, ask “Why should I ____”.  “Should” implies that we are not doing enough or are not good enough.  Start saying “I could be eating better”, “I could be making more money”, “I could be happier”.  We have a choice in all that we do.  Stop pressuring yourself to the idealized standard you’ve created in your mind as the perfect you.  What you have in your life, you attracted to yourself, consciously or unconsciously.  The best part is if you don’t like what is showing up in your life, improve your thoughts and you will improve your reality.

Personal responsibility means being accountable for the results that do not do not show up in your life.  You have the ability to respond to your life instead of automatically reacting to it.  Tell the truth that it doesn’t work for you anymore, and give yourself the option to create something that does work.  In our ability to think about something differently lies the power to make it different.

The best way to break a bad habit is to drop it. ~Leo Aikman
